Although it's hard to say how the team is performing at the moment due to the amount of play time we have, I can comment on what we have played and break it down into manageable pieces.
Communication:
Communication is the single most important element into any teams success, it provides our teammates with the right knowledge and key information they need to make the right decisions at the right time. In terms of our team communication it is lacking in a few areas that we will need to strengthen as time progresses. One of these weakness being clear calls. It is less beneficial to the team when a call is made that isn't easily understood by everyone else, leading to misplays or misunderstood decision making and this is where we're lacking in terms of making clear calls, the clue is in the name. An example of a clear call would be "Lee is ganking top, but Shyvana has no vision or flash." Not only does that inform the Jungler of a potential threat in the top lane, but it also gives him the vital information he needs to take the right approach and install counter-measures to ensure his laner comes up on top.
Another strong element in our communication would be to make decisive calls, in a lot of situations only a split second is the time we need to make a decision a follow through. It is also important to make decisive calls as it prevents doubt within the team and doesn't lead to second guessing, also it'll boost the team's confidence in the future when it comes to making snap second decisions.
Teamwork:
Now a lot of what I'm about to say, falls in line with communication to some extent. In order for us to progress and work together better as a team, we need to work better as a team. This involves trusting a teammates calls, decisions and not being afraid to speak up if you feel something went wrong or could of been handled better.
It's also important as a team to help each become better, whether it be through advice, discussing strengths and weakness they had in a particular game etc.
The best way to grow as a team is to realise each others limits, understanding their way of thinking and most importantly, all being on the same page when decisions need to be made.
Conclusion:
Obviously as a new team, there is still a lot to work on and it'll over progress over time and through many more play time spent together, I only hope this has been somewhat insightful and can help us better understand what we need to work on as a team.
